How to use Nudges in CoachNexa

Automate gentle reminders that keep clients on track — without you having to chase them manually.

Here is how Nudges works in CoachNexa, step by step.

  1. Open Nudges

Click Nudges in the sidebar. You'll see all your automated reminders, searchable by name.

  2. Create a nudge

Click + Add Nudge (or + Create your first nudge). Name it (e.g. "Weekly check-in reminder") and write the message clients will receive.

  3. Set the schedule

Choose when the nudge fires — a day of the week and an hour (e.g. every Monday at 9). The nudge then sends automatically on that cadence.

  4. Choose who receives it

Target the nudge at specific clients, a group, or your whole roster, depending on what the reminder is for.

  5. Pick the channel

Nudges can be delivered by email, push notification or WhatsApp (where configured), so they reach clients where they actually look.

  6. Pause or edit any time

Toggle a nudge off when it's no longer needed, or edit its message and timing as your programme evolves.

  7. What your client sees — Client receives the nudge automatically

At the scheduled time the client gets your reminder by email, push or WhatsApp — no action needed from you once it's set up.

  8. What your client sees — Client acts on the reminder

The nudge links the client back to the relevant part of their portal (a habit to check in, a task to complete), turning a reminder into action.

Tip: Use nudges for recurring behaviours (check-ins, habit reminders) and Messages for one-off personal notes. Tip: Keep nudge copy warm and specific — "How did your 3 workouts go this week?" beats "Reminder". Heads-up: Too many nudges feel like spam. Start with one or two high-value reminders per client.
