How to use Metrics in CoachNexa
Track any measurable client data — weight, steps, sleep, mood, revenue — with charts that update as clients log readings.

Here is how Metrics works in CoachNexa, step by step.
-
Open Metrics
Click Metrics in the sidebar. Use the "Search clients by name…" box to pick the client whose metrics you want to manage.
-
Add a metric
Click + Add Metric. Enter a name (e.g. "Body weight", "Steps", "Sleep hours"), a unit (kg, steps, hrs) and an optional target value, then save.
-
Log an entry yourself
Click + Entry on any metric to record a reading (e.g. 72). Each entry is timestamped and plotted on the metric's chart automatically.
-
Let clients log their own readings
Metrics appear in the client's portal so they can log readings between sessions. Their entries flow straight into your charts — no manual data entry for you.
-
Read the trend chart
Each metric shows a line chart over time with the target line overlaid. Use it in sessions to celebrate progress or spot plateaus at a glance.
-
Attach a report to a reading
Clients can attach a file (lab report, photo) to a reading. You'll see a notification and can open the attachment from the entry.
-
Review across the roster
New client-logged readings raise a badge on the Metrics sidebar item, so you always know when someone has updated their numbers.
-
What your client sees — Client sees their metrics in the portal
Assigned metrics appear on the client's Metrics page with their current value, target and trend chart.
-
What your client sees — Client logs readings between sessions
The client taps + Log to record a new reading (and optionally attach a report). Their chart and your dashboard update in real time.
-
What your client sees — Coach is notified of new readings
Each client-logged reading raises a badge on your Metrics nav item, so you can review their numbers before the next session.
Tip: Set a target on every metric — the chart draws a goal line so progress is instantly readable. Tip: Pick metrics that matter to the client's goal: weight for fat-loss, mood score for wellbeing, MRR for business clients. Heads-up: Deleting a metric removes all its logged history. Keep it (even if unused) if you may want the data later.
