How to use Habits in CoachNexa
Build daily routines for your clients with streak tracking, reminders and challenge mode.

Here is how Habits works in CoachNexa, step by step.
-
Open Habits
Click Habits in the sidebar. You'll see all active habits across your clients, with their current streaks and today's check-in status.
-
Assign a new habit
Click + Assign Habit. Select the client, write the habit (e.g. "Drink 2 litres of water"), set the frequency (Daily, Weekdays, Weekly) and a reminder time.
-
Enable streak tracking
When creating or editing a habit, toggle Track Streak on. The client's current streak and best streak are visible to both you and them in real time.
-
Turn on Challenge Mode
For a fixed-duration commitment, enable Challenge Mode on the habit. Set a duration (7, 21, 30, 66 or 90 days) and choose AUTO reset (streak resets automatically on a miss) or MANUAL (you review misses and can pardon them).
-
Monitor check-ins
In the Habits list, a green dot on today's date means the client has checked in. A red dot means they missed. Click any habit to see the full check-in calendar.
-
Send a manual nudge
If a client hasn't checked in for a day or two, click the habit row → Send Nudge. A personalised reminder is sent to them by email or WhatsApp (if configured).
-
Review habit analytics
Click a habit to see a 30-day check-in heatmap, completion rate percentage and streak history. Use these numbers in your coaching sessions to celebrate wins and diagnose patterns.
-
What your client sees — Client sees the habit in their portal
Assigned habits appear on the client's Habits page immediately. They can see the habit title, frequency and their current streak at a glance.
-
What your client sees — Client checks in daily
The client taps the check-in button each day (or each week for weekly habits). Their streak counter updates live and they receive a streak milestone celebration at 7, 14 and 21 days.
-
What your client sees — Missed day nudge reaches the client
If you've set up reminders, the client receives an email or push notification when they haven't checked in for a day. They can check in directly from the notification.
Tip: Start with 1–3 habits per client. Too many habits at once leads to overwhelm and poor completion. Tip: Challenge Mode at 21 or 66 days maps to the popular "habit formation" research timelines — great for structured programmes. Heads-up: Deleting a habit permanently removes all check-in history. Use "Pause" instead if you just want to stop tracking temporarily.
