How to track client goals and habits
Set client goals with milestones, build daily habits with streaks, and let clients log progress from their phone.

Goals give direction; habits build momentum between sessions. Here is how to set both up for a client.
-
Add a goal with milestones
Open the client and create a Goal. Break it into milestones with target dates so progress is measurable, not vague.
-
Create daily or weekly habits
Add the habits that move the goal forward (e.g. 8,000 steps, 10 minutes of journaling). Choose a daily or weekly frequency.
-
Let the client log from their portal
Clients check off habits from their phone. Streaks build automatically, and an 8 AM reminder fires in the client’s own local timezone.
-
Run a challenge (optional)
Turn a habit into a fixed-length challenge (7, 21, 30, 66, or 90 days) with a streak that resets on a miss — great for accountability cohorts.
-
Watch progress and get nudged
You see completion rates and trends, and CoachNexa nudges you when a client’s streak breaks or they go quiet, so you can reach out at the right moment.
Goals, habits, and challenges all work for groups too, so you can run the same structure across a whole cohort.
